Can I get assistance form Liberty Self Storage? 

Liberty Self Storage employees can help you with almost any facet of your storage experience.  We can supply you with all necessary packaging materials and advise you how to store and help you with needed information such as local truck rental, moving companies, apartment complexes, etc.

How long is the rental agreement? 

LIBERTY SELF STORAGE offers rental agreements ranging from month-to-month, six months and one year leases.  Month- to-month leases automatically renew 30 days from the day you signed the lease.  Six month and one year leases need to be renewed once expired.  LIBERTY SELF STORAGE also offers discounts on the six month and one year leases if paid in full.

Are my stored items automatically insured? 

Insurance information for your stored property is available at all LIBERTY SELF STORAGE locations.  In addition, some homeowners policies may insure your items in a self storage unit.  Contact your homeowners insurance company to discuss.

How secure are my stored items? 

Only you have access to your unit.  Nobody else other than you has a key to your unit.  LIBERTY SELF STORAGE facilities have recorded video surveillance and an live-in resident manager at all locations for added security.

What size units does LIBERTY SELF STORAGE have to offer? 

The unit sizes can vary from the different LIBERTY SELF STORAGE sites, but in general the sizes range from 5'x8' to 15'x20'.  LIBERTY SELF STORAGE offers regular units, climate controlled unit and indoor climate controlled units.  Visit our Unit Size Guide for more information.

What are the hours of operation for LIBERTY SELF STORAGE? 

The business office is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.  The various LIBERTY SELF STORAGE location offices are open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.

How often can I visit my unit? 

As long as your account is paid current, you may visit your storage unit as many times you like--- 24 hours a day, free of charge.

When can I get into the facility to access my possessions? 

All LIBERTY SELF STORAGE facilities are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  The security gate remains open during business hours.  However, all customers are given a personal gate code to access the site after business hours.

Who is responsible for the care of my items while they are in storage? 

LIBERTY SELF STORAGE is not responsible for a loss to your goods.  LIBERTY SELF STORAGE will keep a safe and secure facility but LIBERTY SELF STORAGE is never in the care, custody or control of your goods.  Storage insurance is not mandatory but is highly recommended as an extra precautionary measure.  We believe that if your items are worth storing then they are worth insuring.

When is rent due? 

Rent is due on the specified date given on your contract.  Rent is considered late and a late fee of $15 is imposed if it is received 10 days after the specified due date.

Does LIBERTY SELF STORAGE provide locks to customers? 

As far as locking your unit, LIBERTY SELF STORAGE would like you to be in control.   Use a lock you already have or you can purchase a high security lock from any LIBERTY SELF STORAGE location.  You keep the key.

How does LIBERTY SELF STORAGE keep track of who enters and exits your property?  

The way we keep track of people going in and out of our property is by assigning each customer a personal gate access code.  We then log the use of those codes and also utilize video surveillance.

How do I contact the manager for my location? 

You may call the main business office at (985) 893-3087 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  At that time you will either be provided with the manager's phone number or transferred there directly.

Does LIBERTY SELF STORAGE provide dollies to help me move my things? 

To make move in and move out of your storage unit as easy and convenient as possible, we have dollies available at all of our indoor facilities.  As for the outdoor units, you have drive-up access.

Do I have to sign a long term storage contract? 

You do not need to sign a longterm contract as all storage can be done on a month-to-month basis.

Can I buy boxes and other packing products from LIBERTY SELF STORAGE? 

Yes!  All LIBERTY SELF STORAGE locations offer a wide variety of boxes and packing supplies, including locks.

What does "on-site" manager mean? 

"On-site" manager means that an employee, usually the Store Manager, has an apartment on-site as part of the facility.

Do the LIBERTY SELF STORAGE locations have video surveillance cameras? 

LIBERTY SELF STORAGE locations use video cameras as a security measure.  Cameras are generally located at the point of entry/exit and other areas around the facility.  The number of cameras and the type of system that is installed at each facility will vary based on the design of the facility.

Can anyone drive onto the property or do you need an access code? 

All of our facilities have an electronic gate system which can only be opened by a security code that is assigned to each individual tenant.  The code allows us to monitor who is entering and exiting the facility.

What is climate control? 

Climate control is a feature that is offered at all 12 of our locations.  Our climate control units maintain a temperature of 55 to 85 degrees.  This feature helps protect your stored belongings from the extreme temperatures.

What is a roll-up door? 

Roll-up doors are the most common door in self storage.  They are accessed by sliding a latch and lifting the door upward, similar to the motion of a garage door.

Do you offer RV/boat/car/motorcycle storage? 

LIBERTY SELF STORAGE offers storage/parking for RVs, boats, cars and motorcycles, but it is not a standard at all of our locations.

What is a drive-up unit? 

A drive-up unit is an outside unit, located on the first floor of a facility that gives you the ability to unload your belongings directly from a vehicle.

What's the difference between office hours and gate hours? 

The office hours are the hours of operation for the property.  During these hours, the Manager will be available to assist you with your storage and packing supply needs.  The gate hours are the hours of the property which is 24 hours with an access code.

How far in advance can I book a reservation? 

LIBERTY SELF STORAGE gives you the flexibility to book a reservation up to 30 days in advance to help you plan ahead.

What are the payment options? 

Storage rent may be paid by cash, check, all major credit cards or money orders.  LIBERTY SELF STORAGE accepts payments by mail, auto pay with a major credit card, credit card payments over the phone, office walk-ins and after hour payment drop boxes are available at all of our locations.  You may also call our after hour customer service line.  Coming Soon:  Online bill pay!
